Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana has been chosen by the Election Commission of India (ECI) to encourage young people to vote in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. Ayushmann will be reaching out to the youth of our country, urging them to step forward and exercise their right to select the next leaders of our nation in parliament.

Ayushmann's impactful message

Santosh Ajmera, Director of Voter Education at the ECI, commended Ayushmann for his invaluable and pro bono support for the recent ECI campaign TVC. The campaign aims to address issues of urban and youth apathy towards electoral participation. Ajmera praised Ayushmann's role in the campaign, highlighting that the actor's message resonates well with his predominantly younger followers.

In a statement, Ayushmann emphasized the importance of voting, stating that every vote counts and is crucial. He stressed that voting is a symbol of empowerment in a democratic nation like India, where the power to choose leaders who represent the country's needs rests with the citizens.
